🟦The Future of Technology in 2024: AI-Driven DRAM and NAND Growth

 According to TrendForce, in 2024, advances in AI will drive DRAM and NAND flash shipments across smartphones, servers, and notebooks. In particular, servers are an area where growth is expected.

 Among them, AI learning servers, which mainly use DRAM, are leading the market in the HPC field, which is driving the growth of server DRAM. Enterprise SSDs are likewise increasing in demand for AI.

🟦 Server DRAM, Enterprise SSD Increase

 Server DRAM is expected to grow at an annual rate of 17.3%, while enterprise SSDs are also projected to grow by 13.2%. This is due to the increasing demand for AI servers and the introduction of high-performance AI chips.

 On the other hand, in 2023, as a result of an oversupply of memory and a sharp drop in prices, the average DRAM installed per smartphone increased by 17.5% and NAND capacity increased by 19.2%. However, due to the lack of new applications expected in 2024, DRAM and NAND capacity growth is expected to slow down, with DRAM expected to grow by 14.1% and NAND by 9.3%.
