Intel has developed a new CPU to improve the ability of AI to run faster and more power-efficient on PCs. The new CPU is called Meteor Lake and will be available in December 2023. The new product uses “Intel 12”, which is said to have a circuit line width equivalent to the 7nm process.

Meteor Lake combines the CPU of a personal computer with an image processing semiconductor (GPU) and a function dedicated to AI processing (NPU) to improve the processing speed of AI tasks. It also uses Foveros, a cutting-edge 3D packaging technology, to make Intel’s first consumer chiplet processor.
