NVIDIA accounted for about 57% of the top 10’s combined revenue. Smartphone-chip vendors dominated the upper ranks in 2021, but AI data-center suppliers had become the center of the ranking by 2025.
1. NVIDIA: the leader in AI GPUs
NVIDIA generated $205.7 billion in 2025 revenue, up 65%. Data centers were the main growth engine, and NVIDIA alone represented about 57% of top-10 revenue. Competition is expanding beyond standalone GPU performance to complete platforms that include interconnects such as NVLink and software.
2. Broadcom: growth in custom ASICs and networking
Broadcom recorded $39.7 billion, up 30%. Custom AI chips for cloud providers and AI networking products—including Ethernet switches and NICs—helped it overtake Qualcomm for second place.
3. Qualcomm: smartphone exposure affects its rank
Qualcomm posted about $38.9 billion, up 12%, supported by flagship smartphone SoCs. Its growth trailed AI-infrastructure suppliers, moving it from No. 1 in 2021 to No. 3 in 2025. Diversification into automotive, PCs and IoT remains important.
4. AMD: data centers and AI drive growth
AMD reached $34.6 billion, up 34%. Its data-center business grew by more than 30%, while demand expanded for AI accelerators as well as CPUs. Xilinx’s FPGA and adaptive-SoC portfolio has been integrated into AMD since the 2022 acquisition.
5. MediaTek: flagship smartphone SoCs expand
MediaTek generated $19.1 billion, up 16%, with shipments of its flagship Dimensity smartphone platforms supporting growth.
6. Marvell: rapid growth in AI connectivity
Marvell exceeded $8.0 billion, up 43%. Connectivity chips, custom silicon and optical interconnect products for AI data centers powered the increase.

Fabless semiconductors shifted decisively from a smartphone-centered market toward AI infrastructure in 2025.
