Renesas Electronics held its “Analyst Day” event. The 200 employees of the company’s R&D center in Ukraine revealed that almost all of them remain in the country to work. CEO Shibata said, “I sincerely hope that peace will return to the world and Ukraine as soon as possible.”

Renesas said that the impact of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on its business performance has not been significant at this time. He said there are three areas of concern: business, R&D, and parts supply. R&D and the supply of materials are in a situation that can be controlled to some extent unless the situation deteriorates further and becomes prolonged.
