🟦 Background and Reasons for the Market Reported by Shipment Trends
The strong performance of video equipment is due to the diversification of demand and technological advancements. TVs with 50 inches or more accounted for a large proportion of TVs at 43.7%, and consumers continue to demand large-screen TVs. In addition, the increasing demand for high-definition TVs, such as 4K and 8K, is reflected in the ratio of shipments to value.
On the other hand, sales of audio equipment and car AVC equipment decreased year-on-year. In particular, in the automotive AV industry, car navigation systems decreased by 78.6% year-on-year, suggesting that demand for in-vehicle entertainment is shrinking.
🟦Summary
In December, it became clear that video equipment was the overall driving force, with 4K and 8K TVs in particular becoming the main attraction. On the other hand, the demand for audio equipment and car AVC equipment is sluggish, and there are clear differences between sectors.
