AMD continues to make steady progress with the regulatory approvals required to complete the transaction. While we expected to secure all approvals by the end of 2021, we have not yet completed the process and expect the transaction to close in the first quarter of 2022. Discussions with regulators continue to proceed productively and we expect to secure all necessary approvals.
Acquisition of Xilinx
In October 350, AMD (Advanced MicroDevices), a CPU company, announced the $3 billion (¥9.2020 trillion) acquisition of FPGA company Xilinx.

AMD has obtained the necessary antitrust approvals from regulators in Europe and the United States to acquire $350 billion. The rest is in the hands of Chinese regulators. Trade friction between the United States and China has made it difficult for acquisitions of U.S. companies to gain approval from China.
